Psychotherapy
My primary approach to therapy is Transactional Analysis, a comprehensive theory that delves into how our personalities are formed through interactions with others and the influential experiences we undergo in childhood. This model helps to illuminate the dynamics of our relationships and the internal dialogues that shape our thoughts and behaviours. Additionally, I embrace an integrative approach, enabling me to draw upon a broad spectrum of psychological theories and therapeutic techniques that may prove beneficial for you or your child, tailoring our work to meet your or your child’s unique needs.
Emotional Support for Children, Teenagers, and Young People
Every child deserves to feel heard, safe, and understood. Child and adolescent psychotherapy offers a specialist space for young people to explore their feelings, build emotional resilience, and make sense of difficult experiences — all at their own pace and in their own way.
Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, or big changes like divorce or school transitions, therapy can help them feel more settled, supported, and empowered.
🌱 What Is Child Psychotherapy?
Child and adolescent psychotherapy is a developmentally informed form of talking therapy tailored specifically for young people. It recognises that children often express themselves through behaviour, play, or art, not just words.
Sessions are gentle, creative, and relational, allowing your child to explore their inner world while feeling emotionally safe and supported.

When working with children, I implement a variety of creative interventions designed to foster emotional expression and understanding. These include engaging activities such as sand tray therapy, where children can create their own narratives using miniature figures and a sandbox, as well as sculpting with clay, which can serve as an outlet for creativity and tactile exploration. Storytelling allows for the sharing of experiences in a safe context, while imagery and puppetry help bring emotions to life in a playful manner.
Additionally, arts and crafts provide an avenue for self-expression that can reveal feelings we might struggle to articulate. In this way, even when words fail us, we can still journey through our emotions using these imaginative and enriching methods.
